Adrienne Barbeau

  

Adrienne Jo Barbeau was born June 11, 1945 was an American actress, singer and author. Her fame began in the 1970s playing Broadway's original Rizzo in the musical Grease, and in the role of Carol Traynor, the divorced daughter of Maude Findlay (played by Bea Arthur) in the sitcom Maude (1972-1978). The first time she appeared on screen was in science fiction and horror films in the year 1980 with films like Escape from New York (1981), Creepshow(82), Swamp Thing (1982), and The Fog (1980). In the 90s, she became known for providing the voice of Catwoman on Batman: The Animated Series (1992-1995) and later animated series. She also voiced Ruthie on the HBO series Carnivale (2003-2005).
